Moving Leaders and Communities from "Blurry" to Total Calrity
Born in corporate HR, anchored in faith, and built to ICF professional standards. Second Touch creates physical coaching tools that transform workplaces, schools, and conferences.
Our Story: The "Perfect Storm"
Second Touch was born out of a personal and professional "perfect storm." Our founder, Tom Stevens, worked in HR, navigating large-scale redundancy programmes. But when he was hit by a wave of personal crisis: bereavement, safeguarding challenges at his child's sports club, and eventually, facing redundancy himself, his personal tools weren't enough.
"I went from managing projects that impacted hundreds of people to struggling to navigate my own next steps," Tom recalls. "But it was in that space of enforced pause that I experienced the power of slowing to a complete standstill and getting absolute clarity. It changed how I viewed decision making forever."
What began as a personal tool to navigate a career and life pivot soon became a framework demanded by others. Tom and his wife and co-founder Karen, relaised that organisations were crying out for tools that could cut through the noise and help people make clear, values aligned decisions.
With extensive experience as associates for global career transition leaders like LHH, Tom and Karen bring enterprise-grade expertise to personal and organisational pivots.

The Philosophy: The Theology of Clarity
Our name and methodology are inspired by the Gospel of Mark. When Jesus healed the blind man at Bethsaida, the healing happened in stages. After the first touch, the man’s sight was blurry, he saw people, but they looked like "trees walking." It was only after the second touch that his vision was restored to total clarity.
In leadership, strategy and daily life we often find ourselves in that "blurry" middle ground. We see the problem but lack the sharp focus required to move forward.
Second Touch Coaching Cards are designed to be that second moment of reflection. We take professional coaching methodologies and distil them into powerful, physical questions that bring an individual or team's path into sharp focus.
Professional Rigour, Faith-Led Heart
Both Tom and Karen are PCC (ICF) qualified coaches. We believe that organisations should never have to choose between world class professional standards and deeply held values. Every Second Touch deck is engineered at the intersection of both:
- ICF-Aligned: Built on the core competencies and ethics of the International Coaching Federation to guarantee psychological safety and deep impact.
- Inclusive: Written in universally accessible, jargon free language. While anchored in deep wisdom, our decks are designed to feel welcoming to all individuals and organisations.
- Scripture-Anchored: Connecting high level coaching questions with the timeless biblical prtinciples, making them an ideal resource for faith based leadership.
Equipping Communities at Scale
Today Second Touch has grown from a personal decision making tool into a trusted partner for organisations across the UK and beyond. We don't just sell individual decks; we partner with organisations to scale meaningful conversations through bulk deployment and bespoke co-branding:
- Conferences & Events: We create bespoke, co-branded decks (incorporating your organisation's logo, colours, or core values) that serve as a high value, lasting gift for delegates.
- Faith-Based Schools & Academies: Supporting staff wellbeing, mitigating burnout, and providing structural tools for student mentorship and chaplaincy.
- Charities & Ministries: Providing tactile, focussed tools for leadership development, stratgeic retreats and team alignment.
"We are not just selling cards; we are helping leaders steward the conversations that matter most." - Tom Stevens, Founder
